Q: How does Belvedere Designs ship? Can I ship to a PO Box?
A. Most of our products are shipped with the United States Postal Service and delivery confirmation is always included unless prohibited by Post Office. When items must be expedited we use Priority or Express Mail by USPS, or UPS. This means you may use a PO Box as your shipping address for standard orders with no problem.
Q: What is the shipping rate?
A. We ship to Canada! We are proud to offer flat rate shipping on all orders. Here is the breakdown for both domestic and international orders.
Domestic:
Standard shipping on all orders: $5
Expedited shipping depends on the order size:
- If your order total is between $0 and $75, expedited shipping costs $25
- If your order total is between $75.01 and $150, expedited shipping costs $35
- If your order total is more than $150.01 then expedited shipping costs $50
International (You are responsible for any customs fees charged by your Country):
Standard shipping on Canadian orders: $5
Standard shipping on all other orders: $15
Expedited shipping: Unavailable online. You must contact us to to make expedited arrangements.
Q: How long does it take for my order to arrive?
A. While production time varies slightly depending on which products you order, you can generally expect your order to arrive in 5 to 7 business days. If you choose to pay with an e-check through paypal then your order will not arrive until 5 to 7 business days after the payment clears (which can take up to 14 days, depending on your bank). Please note that extreme weather conditions can delay mail delivery and we are not responsible for such delays. Please contact us prior to ordering with concerns about delivery times; we are happy to help meet deadlines.
Canadian and International orders require additional time for delivery. Most orders, both domestic and international, are custom cut and shipped within 3 business days, but international delivery times vary depending on location. Most arrive within 7 to 14 business days from the shipment date.
Q: Can I expedite my order?
A. Certainly. Our shipping cost for expediting your order ranges between $25 and $50 and your order will arrive in 3 to 4 business days. If you need to have your order overnighted, or need a guarenteed delivery date, please contact us to make the necessary arrangements. We can make it happen.
Canadian and international priority delivery service may be available. Please contact us for more information and a quote for the additional shipping charge.
Q: Does Belvedere Designs ship internationally?
A. Yes, we do offer international shipping through the Post Office. Canadian customers can select our $5 flat rate standard shipping for all orders. International customers will need to select our $15 flat-rate international shipping. We understand that international shipping rates can often border on punitive, so we do our best to offer you an affordable rate, but in any case you will be responsible for any customs, duty, applicable taxes and import fees that may be incurred during shipping.
Product questions
Q: How do I apply my vinyl wall quotes or custom vinyl lettering?
A. Your vinyl letters will arrive on one sheet in what looks like three layers. The top layer is an opaque transfer tape, the second layer is your vinyl lettering and the third layer is a stiff wax paper like backing. If you’re worried you don’t have a good eye for getting things straight and even or have a large quote, especially one in two pieces or more, this is the method for you.
Q: Are the upper and lower case letters the same size for the custom vinyl wall letters?
A. When you order custom vinyl wall lettering we size everything to a capital "A" in the font you have chosen. For example, when you order the name "Ashley" in 8-inch letters, the "A" will be 8 inches tall and the remaining letters will be sized proportionately. The exact size difference will depend on the font, (in this case, the overall height will be close to 12 inches because the "y" dips down) but in all cases the letters will remain proportionate. Please note that because this is our standard measuring process, if you order all lowercase letters (sam, for example) in the 8 inch size, they will really be closer to 6 inches tall because they will be sized proportionately to an 8 inch uppercase "A." If you have any concerns about the sizing of your letters, please contact us and we are happy to provide you with a graphic and exact measurements. Q: Will vinyl wall quotes damage the paint or texture on my walls?
A. No. Our vinyl is renter-friendly, home-designer-friendly and low-maintenance-friendly. We use a high quality vinyl made with a high quality clear removable adhesive that allows it to stick to your walls for years and removes easily without any damage or wear to the wall should you need to move or choose to change you home's décor. Just peel it off with your fingers and wipe the wall down with a warm, damp cloth and you're set. If however, you are placing the stickers on a wall or door where the paint is already peeling or bubbling, this could cause the paint to chip...but this disclaimer should strike most as as necessary as a warning not to use an iron in the bathtub.
Q: Can I put vinyl wall words on textured walls?
A. Yes, we use a high quality vinyl that has great flexibility without compromising adhesive strength. When placing our vinyl wall words on a textured wall we just recommend applying pressure during application to remove the air bubbles have been removed and the vinyl has formed to the texture. Our vinyl wall quotes work perfectly on many surfaces - even texture - but they won't work on raw concrete, brick or stucco. Q: Are your vinyl wall quotes and custom lettering reusable?
A. Unfortunately vinyl wall words can only be used once as they are stretched and often torn during removal and re-using them is therefore impossible. Please contact us with any questions.
Q: How do I remove my vinyl wall letters or family stickers?
A. Our vinyl wall words can be easily removed by placing a fingernail underneath a corner of the letter and pulling away. When removing the vinyl wall words from glass or a mirror do not use a razor blade as this will separate the vinyl from the adhesive and necessitate the use of a solvent to remove the adhesive. If you pull the vinyl away from the glass it will remove the adhesive at the same time and any trace of the vinyl wall words can be washed away with a gentle cleaning solution like Windex or a warm rag with dish soap.
Custom Request FAQs
Q: I have custom design in mind, but I'm not sure how to order.
A. We love designing new things, so please feel free to contact us and explain as much as you can about your idea. Tell us about the "look" your are trying to create and let us know if you have any particular fonts in mind and how big the space is that you would like to use and we'll be thrilled to help design the perfect accent for you and provide graphic proofs via email along the way.
Q: How much do you charge for custom graphics?
A. Graphic fees are based on the size and complexity of your design so they must be estimated on a case-by-case basis. Custom designs involving just text rarely have graphic fees, but if we're creating a logo, modifying an existing logo and/or matching a particular design or shape then the graphics fee will apply. As a general rule, if we just have to do layout then there is no fee, but if we have to draw it then there will be a fee. Our graphic design fees start at $25 per hour. If you are unsure, contact us with your idea and we will respond with a full quote in one business day.
Q: Do you have colors other than those shown on the website available?
Do you offer reflective vinyl? Do you offer 4-color printing for vinyl stickers?
A. We do have other colors available that are not listed on our website, but this does not mean that we have an unlimited spectrum at hand. If you are looking for a custom color, please contact us with the color code and we can confirm availability or see if we can have that color made for you. For custom colors there is a $75 minimum order. We also offer reflective vinyl (hi-grade outdoor rated) with a minimum order of $100. Our reflective vinyl is the same used by many ambulance companies and is well know for its long life, reliability and flexibility. We also offer 4-color vinyl printing for vinyl stickers with a minimum order of $75. Please contact us with your custom requests.
Q: I would like a font that I don't see on your website.
A. We have found that the same font is often known by several different names. If you can't find the exact font that you are looking for in our list of available fonts, just contact us with the font name and a sample text - if possible - and we will check our extensive font library. In most cases we will have your font or one very similar to it.
Q: I already have a logo; can you make a vinyl sticker for my car?
A. Certainly. Just email us a vector art file (.ai, .cdr, .pdf or .eps) and your specifications and we can provide you with a quote. If you don't have a vector art file, you can email us with a digital image of the logo (.jpeg, .gif, .png) and we can work up an estimate. There will be no graphics fee if you have a vector file of your logo.
Payment and Security FAQs
Q: How can I pay for my order? Do you accept checks?
A. We accept all major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express), Paypal, Echecks through Paypal. We only accept checks or money orders from customers who need to pay with a PO, or have called us for preapproval. Production time on orders paid for by Echecks and check or money order will take longer (7 to 14 business days depending on your bank) because we cannot cut your order until the payment has cleared. We recommend using a credit/debit card or Paypal for the fastest processing of your order.
Q: Is your site secure?
A. Yes. We understand your concern in this regard and consider it one of our highest priorities to ensure that our site is safe and secure for your personal information. We will never sell information to a third party and will only use your information for its intended purpose: to place your order with us. We use the most-up-to-date encryption software and have two systems which protect your personal information and payment information separately. If you are still worried about providing you credit card online, just contact us by phone and we will be happy to place the order for you.
Q: Do you offer gift certificates?
A. Yes. You can order our gift certificates here. Just enter the amount you would like to give, add a personal message and you are set. We will send the gift certificate in a handmade card with a unique number that the recipient can use at checkout. Any remaining balance will be saved for future orders and can be accessed with the same number.
Q: Do you have any discount codes?
A. Yes, we do! In addition to the monthly deals you find in our discount section above, you can become a fan of our facebook page and receive special discount codes via wall posts. Also, during certain promotional periods, you may receive a special discount code with each purchase that can be used on your next order or given to a friend. We also have a monthly drawing for a gift certificate available to customers who provide us with quality (clear and well lit) pictures of how they used our stickers to be included in our ever-expanding photo gallery.
Q: Do you offer any volume discounts?
A. Yes, though it depends on the project and the volume. If you have a very large project you'd like us to work on and think you may qualify for a volume discount, contact us with the details and we will see what we can do from there.
Q: Do you have a guarantee?
A. Yes. We certainly want you to be happy with your product and do our very best to ensure that this is so. We are happy to provide a graphic preview of nearly all our products - in addition to the graphic previews available in our website viewer tools - prior to production so that you can be sure that you're getting exactly what you'd like. From there we can adjust the details so that the product comes exactly as you've pictured it. If we’ve made a mistake on your order, please contact us and we’ll fix it immediately. In addition to our guarantee for the best customer service possible, our indoor vinyl lettering is made with a high quality indoor-grade material rated for at least 3 years of use (and as long as it isn't in constant, harsh sunlight or next to a heater vent, it will last much longer). Our outdoor vinyl decals, including our family stickers, are made with a high quality outdoor-grade material rated for at least 6 years of use in any environment. Please note, these ratings depend on the proper application of the vinyl, so a few minutes to read the application instructions will greatly lengthen the life of your vinyl. If you have any problems with product performance, just contact us and we will be happy to help resolve your concerns.
Q: What is your return policy?
A. If you are not completely satisfied with the product you receive from us, you may return the item within 30 days for a replacement or exchange as long as the vinyl has not been applied to any surface. Because each monitor displays colors differently we cannot guarantee that the colors will match what you see on your screen, but we are happy to send color samples if you make a request prior to ordering. Also, as each order is custom-made to your specifications, and we do not stock merchandise in house, we cannot issue cash refunds, but are certainly happy to make an exchange or offer credit for future purchases. If you do wish to make an exchange, please contact us and include a brief note in the package explaining the reason for the exchange, your order number and what changes you would like to make. If the order is damaged in shipping, please let us know right away and we will provide you with a replacement immediately at no extra charge. We are proud of our product and we know you will be too.
