Behind the Scenes at Belvedere Designs
Belvedere is Italian for a "lookout" or "good view."
The Italian town of Vallata is a perfect example of our inspiration.
We love words, love design, love typography, love color. We're a husband/wife team working out of our little home and love the flexibility and variety vinyl lettering, wall quotes and wall art add to any home's décor – even on a budget!
Belvedere Designs started as a dream. At first, it was all about the design. I memorized fonts and styles and I loved the flow of putting words in just the right order, just the right amount of space between, just the right emphasis on the key phrase to create a masterpiece. I didn’t have enough walls to accommodate all my thoughts, but I couldn’t resist.
I was becoming more and more proficient as a designer and loved to leaf through magazines and tear out pages, ogle over the colors in the paint aisle of our local hardware store, and transform our little two bedroom duplex into grand rooms full of style and charm and comfort (over and over again). And this is when it all exploded. I had the training, I had the eye and I had the drive. Thank heavens for husbands who are supportive (and who know much more about accounting and website design). We launched into it with gusto and just haven’t lost that enthusiasm.
What we especially love about our vinyl wall words is that it’s totally affordable. And for a young family on a strict budget, we know about affordable! Anyone can add the charm and elegance of these custom-made projects without paying an arm and a leg. We love knowing that our designs help real people like us relax and enjoy their living space – making each home a real refuge for the family who lives there.
To complement our vinyl wall quotes, we’ve added other projects we really believe in. We especially look forward to custom requests; in fact, this is how we began the family sticker and car decal division. We love our designs and are really proud of how far we’ve come. We still have lots of room to grow and are constantly on the look-out for new ideas and inspiration.
